Why 100 Scholars?

Our students:

At Scholars, students receive individual instruction for specific subjects or courses where they require help. We provide complementary, qualified tutoring to curriculum taught in elementary and secondary schools and for programs for adult learning and literacy. Our students work with a qualified teacher to meet the academic requirements of a specific subject, course or benchmark exam.

How do I know if my student needs tutoring?

There are many signs that your student may benefit from tutoring: A teacher or school counselor recommends it Your student's grades are falling regardless of how hard he or she works Your student experiences extreme anxiety before tests or exams Your student is having behavioral problems in class Your student dreads going to school or has lost interest in learning.

How will you know where my child needs help?

When you enroll your student at 100 Scholars, the first thing we do is give your student a series of diagnostic tests to discover strengths, weaknesses and areas in need of improvement.

How does tutoring at 100 Scholars work?

Our approach follows a series of steps: Diagnostic tests are administered. A personal education plan is developed based on your student's test results. A customized study plan is created. Educational goals are established. Lessons are taught at the student's pace and adjusted as the student progresses. Our enthusiastic instructors will energize your student and make learning fun. Students are given incentives to encourage them to stay focused and meet goals. Failure is not an option.

What kind of improvement can I expect to see?

At 100 Scholars, we have been helping students achieve better grades, raise test scores and improve study skills for ten years. According to our students and parents, we've also helped kids develop a positive self-image, get motivated and improve both self-esteem and confidence.
