Our Approach
At The Nutty Sensei, we believe the most effective way for students to learn is through a gradual development of concepts and the practice over time of skills related to those concepts. We call these methods incremental development and continual practice and review.
Incremental Development Incremental development is a big name for breaking learning tasks down into easy bite-sized pieces. Rather than overwhelming students with large chunks of information, complicated subjects are broken down into understandable pieces for the student to master before moving on to the next piece. Each small concept builds on the next.
Continual Practice and Review Each unit of learning is practiced and reviewed until the student fully grasps the necessary information. Previously learned material is reviewed in every lesson for the duration of the Education Plan. Topics are never dropped and forgotten, but instead are increased in complexity and practiced daily, providing the time required for concepts to become totally familiar. As concepts become familiar and requisite skills become second nature, learning becomes a game at which students can succeed, increasing their satisfaction and self-worth.
